Mrs. Ferguson's Class Celebrates with Mr. Duncan and Associate Superintendent John Wright

Congratulations to Amanda Ferguson for receiving one of the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools Impact Grants!  Our Associate Superintendent, Mr. Wright, came to school today to present the award to Mrs. Ferguson. She wrote this grant to get nonfiction books to support our Green Initiative here at Arbor Ridge and our Green Team.  The entire grant was written, with the help of our wonderful Partner in Education, Barnes & Noble, for books that educate on sustainability. There are over 60 books with titles like Energy from the Sun, Compost Stew: An A to Z Recipe for the Earth, and Human Footprint: Everything You Will Eat, Use, Wear, Buy, and Throw Out in Your Lifetime… our students will have non-fiction literature to help them lead the way to a greener Earth for us all to enjoy! Thank you Mrs. Ferguson!
